The GPSMAP 76 has a larger display than the popular eTrex series and can be used with an external antenna for greater convenience in awkward viewing situations as well as for improved reception in poor signal locations. All the buttons are located on the front face for ease of operation when the unit is supported in a mounting bracket.
Area calculation (version 2.02 and later, click here for instructions), position averaging, up to nine programmable data fields, audible alarms, proximity & anchor drag alarms are additional features of the GPSMAP 76. This model also features a built-in quad helix antenna for superior reception.
